Applications for the 2024 UMOJA Fellowship Program are open.

What will you gain from the fellowship program? 

- Mentorship by a UMOJA coordinator.

- An opportunity to live in multicultural environments.

- A certificate of participation at the program's conclusion.


- You are between 18-22 years old.

- You are a student at a UWC school and/or a former UWC Short Course participant.

- You are passionate and interested in community building.

- You are eager to learn content development and workshop facilitation.

- Committed to UWC ideals. 


- The Fellowship Program runs from July 2, 2024, at UWC East Africa (Moshi, Tanzania).

- You are required to follow weekly training of 2-4 hours in May and June before the short course.

Costs and practical info

- You own a digital device with internet access. 

- The completion of the 'Fellowship Program' involves designing and facilitating a session at the 2024 UMOJA UWC Short Course.

- UWCEA provides free accommodation and meals.

- Fellows cover their travel, visa, and insurance costs.

- UWCEA supports with 50 USD towards these expenses.

- Strongly encourage complete COVID-19 vaccinations.

The Short Course will follow the United World College’s model of experiential learning. It will thus be centered around innovative digital workshops, interactive learning, and an element of community engagement. The Course will equip participants to think critically, engage globally and become leaders in their community.

The application deadline is 28 February 2024. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
